Danny Walker has some pretty big shoes to fill when it comes to basketball. Not only is he short but he plays on the same team his dad did when went to the national championship. Just because he is short doesn’t mean he isn’t a great player. So when Danny isn’t chosen for the Middletown travel basketball team he is devastated. It appears that Danny will always just remain in the shadows of his father’s glory. Richie Walker went on to play ball at Syracuse and then for the Warriors in the NBA. That was all before a car accident abruptly ended his career and his family too. After years of absence, Richie Walker is back in town and in his son’s life. Richie can’t believe that a kid with such talent is cut from the team. Despite the fact that his old team rival is now the traveling team coach, he is going to get to the bottom of this injustice. Richie and Danny decide to form their own team and give all the castoffs a second chance. Will they be able to get it together? It takes more than size to make a winning team. It also takes a love of the game and never letting go of your dream.
